Update 8.1 for PUBG Introduces Reworked Sanhok, New Survivor Pass and Ranked Season

The test server of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has been updated to version 8.1, the first update of the 8th season. Among other things, the developers have significantly reworked Sanhok, introduced a new Survivor Pass and launched the new ranked season. Below are the main changes of the update.

Sanhok Rework:

  • Landmark changes: Bootcamp, Quarry, Ruins, Mountain, Cave completely reworked; Mongnai replaced with Airfield, Docks replaced with Getaway; Bhan removed.
  • Sanhok will have Loot Trucks spawning in special garages and travestying across the map. Players will be able to damage and destroy them to get loot from them, including exclusive weapon loot.
  • Balance changes: item spawn remains mostly the same as in the previous version of the map, with the addition of Panzerfaust to the world loot. Besides that, the vehicle spawn locations were adjusted due to the introduction of Loot Trucks.

New Survivor Pass: Payback

  • The Pass includes nearly 100 new cosmetic items, including unique weapon skins and face paints.
  • Increased amount of daily experience received for just playing up to 7200.
  • Community, Progression and Beginner missions removed, while all season missions are now available at season launch.

Ranked Mode

  • Season 8 started, with ranked points of players being softly reset. A new rank will be assigned after 5 placement matches.
  • RP growth rate has been increased by 50%. Besides that, players will receive additional points when killing enemies whose rank is higher than 5 divisions.
  • Vikendi is now available in Ranked mode with adjusted Blue Zone.

Among other changes are new functionality of gas cans, footstep sound re-design, UI and performance improvements. The full list of changes is available on the official website.
