PUBG Update 7.3 Adds C4 and Tweaks Vehicle Balance
PlayerUnknown’ Battlegrounds has been updated to version 7.3. Among other things, the new version includes significant vehicle changes, a new throwable item, and Vikendi improvements.
From now on, the vehicles will not necessarily explode once their health is depleted. Instead, the engine will stop and be set on fire, causing the vehicle to explode after 5 second. However, the vehicles can still be instantly exploded when taking large radial damage, such as from Red Zones, C4, etc. Besides that, vehicles now have different damage multipliers for three zones: 100% for engine zone, 75% for body zone, and 50% for roof zone.
The other addition to the game is C4, which can be found as world loot on Erangel, Miramar, Vikendi and Sanhok. It has a 25 meter effective radios, with a 15 meters radius of lethal damage. C4 detonates 16 seconds after being thrown, sticks to most surfaces, and penetrates cover. C4 weight a lot and cannot be thrown far.
As for Vikendi, the developers made some improvements to the train system – first, they put a new vertical train line towards the centre of the map, introduced additional stops along existing lines, as well as added new visual and audio signs indicating the arrival and departure of the train. Besides that, the spawn rate of DMRs has been slightly increased.
The game’s previous major update – Update 7.2 – was released a month ago and introduce a ranked mode and added bots to normal matches.
