OMEGA League Season 2 with Secret and OG Announced

Amid the absence of the Dota Pro Circuit events, the first season of OMEGA League was a huge success, with over 400,000 concurrent viewers during the grand finals of the European Immortal Division. So it’s no wonder the organizers are keen to keep the momentum and have already announced the league’s second season.

As of now, the organizers have confirmed only the European league – just as previously, it will be split into Immortal and Divine divisions with $500,000 and $50,000 at stake. However, the number of participants was reduced from 12 to 10 for both divisions. Besides that, the number of matches will be increased from 30 to 45.

Among first confirmed participants of the Immortal Division are Alliance, Team Liquid, Nigma, OG and Team Secret. The other three invited teams will be revealed later, while the final two participants will be determined through the qualifiers.

Earlier we reported that Team Secret placed first at OMEGA League Season 1 Europe Immortal Division. In the tournament’s grand finals they outplayed OG with the 3-0 score, securing $200,000 in prize money.
