Complexity Gaming have been left without a complete CS:GO roster just a week before the start of ESL Pro League 12 – 17-years-old Owen "oBo" Schlatter decided to step down from the team due to home-sickness.

The organization’s CEO Jason Lake commented on the situation during a streamed press conference. Recently the player informed the team that he would return to the USA after the conclusion of EPL Pro League Season 12. However, less than 24-hours after that he was at the airport returning home. Lake explained that initially the team was supposed to be based in North America and have bootcamps in Europe, however due to travel restrictions the team was forced to live in Europe. During the summer player break oBo “expressed reservations about returning to Europe”. Lake also mentioned there were no arguments within the team and it was the player’s personal decision to leave the team. The organization will try to help oBO to find a new team based in North America.

ESL Pro League Season 12: Europe is scheduled to start on September 1st and Complexity are among the partnered teams. According to Jason Lake, they are already looking for a new player; however, it is highly likely the team will have to use an emergency sub for the tournament.

Complexity Gaming have been playing without a single roster change since November 2019. This summer the team managed to win BLAST Premier: Spring 2020 European Finals, while last month they placed 3rd-4th at DreamHack Open Summer 2020: Europe and 5-8th at ESL One: Cologne 2020 Online – Europe.
