IceFrog Announces Update 7.27 for Dota 2 to be Released in a Couple of Weeks

The lead Dota 2 designer IceFrog has announced through a forum post that the next big update for the game – Patch 7.27 – will be released in a couple of weeks.

The update will be rolled out in several parts. The first one will be focused on items changes, economy and general adjustments. The second part of the update, which will be released at a later date, will include hero balance changes.

Besides that, tonight Dota 2 received a small update that made it easier to complete the Guild challenge for killing ancient creeps – the requirements were decreased as follows:

  • 1 star – 300 > 200
  • 2 stars – 450 > 300
  • 3 stars – 600 > 400

The previous major update – 7.26c – was released in May and contained multiple talents changes. Few weeks ago Valve also released Battle Pass for The International 10. Since then the tournament’s prize pool has increased from $1,600,000 to over $15,100,000.
