Funspark Announce CS:GO Series for Europe and Asia with $630,000 at Stake
The Chinese tournament operator Funspark has announced its CS:GO circuit for this year, which will include a number of events in Europe and Asia and conclude with an international LAN-tournament. The total prize pool of the series is set at $630,000.
Each region will have two seasons – the first one will be played between March and June, while the second season is scheduled for September – December. Each season will begin with two Regional Series events, featuring a GSL group stage and a single-elimination bracket, and conclude with a Playoffs tournament with a double-elimination bracket.
The circuit will end in December with an international Grand Finale, which is supposed to be held in a LAN-setting – it will feature three invited teams, two winners of Funspark ULTI 2020, and three qualified teams, two from Europe and Asia. The tournament’s prize pool is set at $300,000.
Funspark have also revealed the invited teams for the first Regional Series event. The list looks as follows:
- Europe: Sinners, Dignitas, LDLC, Movistar Riders, Lyngby Vikings, Sprout, MAD Lions, ENCE, HAVU, HellRaisers, K23, SAW, TeamOne, AGO, Winstrike, Nemiga
- Asia: TyLoo, Lynn Vision, TCG, Reece, Wings Up, Invictus, Let’s Quit, Newhappy
Earlier the tournament organizer revealed that Funspark ULTI 2020, which was supposed to be held last year but was postponed due to the pandemic, will take place on April 19th – 27th. There eight teams – BIG, Complexity, EG, Heroic, VP, forZe, HAVU and Extra Salt – will compete for a $250,000 prize pool.
