Evil Geniuses Fire GranDGranT against Accusations in Sexual Harassment

The American organization Evil Geniuses has parted ways with Dota 2 caster and streamer Grant "GranDGranT" Harris, who earlier was accused in sexual harassment by multiple people. The streamer himself issued an apology and stated that he will leave Dota 2 and esports scene indefinitely.

The first statement was published by a mobile game writer @cofactorstrudel, who accused GranDGranT is a sexual harassment during a The International 2017 afterparty. Later Anthony “Scantzor” Hodgson, the former coach of Entity Gaming, accused GranDGranT in harassing the former Dota 2 caster LlamaDownUnder, which allegedly led to her stopping her caster career and getting a restraining order against him. On top of that, North American cosplayer Wickedcosplay published a story of an anonymous woman who accuses GranDGranT in a drug-facilitated sexual assault.

In his public apology, GranDGranT acknowledges that he has done horrible things in the past. In his Reddit post, he confesses about having an alcohol problem for five years, stating that he used to drink “three bottles of vodka a day”. He also writes that “I have worked on myself over the last few years… but that does not make up for the past and what I did”.

GranDGranT has been a professional Dota 2 commentator, caster and analyst since 2016. He worked on The International in 2018 and 2019 and multiple Dota Pro Circuit events, as well as casted nine DOTA Summit tournaments. Since 2017 he has been streaming for Evil Geniuses.

In the last few days multiple women from the gaming and esports scene shared their stories of experiencing sexual harassment of different level in the scene. Another Dota 2 caster Andrew "Zyori" Campbell was accused in sexual harassment by a cosplayer and streamer @ashnichrist, which he denied.
