Astralis, Fnatic and Na`Vi to Play at ESL One Cologne 2020

The organizers of ESL One Cologne 2020 have revealed eight teams that will partake in the tournament’s main event – among them are six leaders of the European ranking (Astralis, Fnatic, Natus Vincere, G2 Esports, mousesports, FaZe Clan) and two strongest teams of the North American rating (Team Liquid, 100 Thieves).

Besides that, the company also announced eight participants of the closed qualifier – among them are three teams from the European ranking (Team Vitality, Ninjas in Pyjamas, BIG), three American teams (Evil Geniuses, FURIA Esports, Cloud9), as well as one team from each Oceania (Renegades) and Asia (TyLoo). Besides that, Team Heretics and Sprout will participate in the qualifiers as the winners of EPEC 2020 and ESL Meisterschaft respectively. The rest of the teams will be determined by the ESL World Ranking – four from Europe and two from North America.

ESL One: Cologne 2020 will be played on August 23rd – 30th without live audience at ESL Studio in Cologne, Germany, featuring 16 teams competing for a $1,000,000 prize pool. The LAN-qualifier will be held at the same location on August 21st-22nd, with best eight teams advancing to the main event.
