Astralis Confirm their Roster for ESL One Cologne 2020

Astralis have confirmed their roster for the upcoming ESL One Cologne 2020 Europe. The team will perform with two new players – Patrick "es3tag" Hansen and Lucas "Bubzkji" Andersen, while Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth and Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander are still inactive.

Both Xyp9x and gla1ve have been on a medical leave since May – both players experienced stress and burnout due to a tight tournament schedule. The organization’s response to it was to expand the roster to a seven-player format.

First, they signed Jakob "JUGi" Hansen and then announced the plan to acquire Patrick "es3tag" Hansen as soon as his contract with Heroic expires. Recently the team replaced JUGi with former MAD Lions member Lucas "Bubzkji" Andersen. This weekend Gla1ve stated that he is looking forward to making a comeback, however he will take it one step at a time and at first will focus on helping the team.

ESL One Cologne 2020 will begin on August 18th with a GSL group stage. Astralis have been seeded into Group A alongside FaZe Clan, Fnatic, MIBR, G2 Esports Heroic, Team Vitality and Team Heretics. In their first match they will face Fnatic. The series is scheduled for August 18th, 5:30 PM UK Time.
